The first set of the Sailor Moon Petit Chara! series was released in the December 2013 timeframe.  They feature mini-figurines (about 2" tall) by Megahouse, and were sold in a box of 6.  There are 12 figurines total, as seen in the image above.  Though there were rumors that all of the figurines in a box of 6 were random, and Luna and Artemis were "lucky" (implying that not all boxes would include them), this was not the case.  Each box of 6 contained one of each character (Sailor Moon, Tuxedo Mask, Sailor Mercury, Sailor Mars, Sailor Jupiter, and Sailor Venus), and Luna and Artemis were included with Sailor Moon and Sailor Venus respectively.  Additionally, there were only two types of boxes:  one box contained Sailor Moon, Sailor Mars, and Sailor Jupiter with open eyes (referred to as type A), and Sailor Mercury, Sailor Venus, and Tuxedo Mask with closed/winking/masked eyes (B).  The other box contained the opposite figurines.

First Glance:

1.  Luna's and Artemis' stands are pink and orange, respectively.  In the authentic version sets, Luna's and Artemis' stands were clear.
2.  The bases are upside down (the figurine should be standing on the larger part, and the smaller part should be on the surface).  The authentic figurines could be displayed with their bases upside down, but they were not advertised this way (implying they weren't intended to be displayed as such).  Also, the stems don't fit as well when the bases are upside down (and are more prone to breaking).
3.  The bases aren't as shiny and aren't as translucent.  The authentic figurines had shiny bases and were fairly translucent.  (Note:  the lack of sheen and transparency may just be due to the photo, but there's definitely something different about the bases just based on other pictures I've seen).
4.  All of the figurines have closed/winking/masked eyes.  As far as I know, the authentic boxes always contained a mixture of A and B type figurines.

Authentic version:

1.  Mars' hair is rough (the seams and the bottom, notably) on the bootleg version.  Contrastly, Mars' hair is very smooth and carefully cut on the authentic version.
2.  Mars' earrings are pink on the bootleg version.  They're red (like they're supposed to be) on the authentic version.
3.  The purple highlight along Mar's bangs is missing on the bootleg version.
